Paul Naar

Executive Vice president Food Ingredients Cargill Inc.

Paul Naar was named Executive Vice President Food Ingredients Cargill Inc. in January 2006.

He joined the company in 1976 and worked in the Netherlands and Thailand before relocating to Geneva where he served as a trading manager for various trading businesses, including worldwide vegetable oils. In 1988, Paul switched his focus from trading to processing and took responsibility for the Starch and Glucose business in Europe, before becoming managing director of Gerkens Cacao, a subsidiary of Cargill.  In 1999 he was named managing director of Cargill’s Cocoa and Chocolate business.

In addition to his present business roles, Paul was named president of Cargill b.v. in The Netherlands in 2001 and serves as country representative.  Since December 2008 he also serves on the Board of Cargill International S.A., Geneva.

Paul Naar received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration of the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
